We've heard stories of brides being overwhelmed with planning their weddings without a global pandemic, so what happens when you throw a virus and a handful of governmental requirements in the mix?
2020 bride Salam Kailani walked us throw her process, her dress and the entire experience!
Here is what she had to say to Everything Weddings:
Searching for my wedding dress was not a piece of cake, I went to many places and boutiques until I finally went to
Nour Muhtaseb, there she showed me different fabric prints, since all of her dresses are handed beaded, you get to choose the print you like and then we started adding and removing layers to create the perfect shade for my wedding gown!
We started working on my dress long before my weddings, as we actually started in February, I also took my mom and my grandmother to my fittings so we were able to consult Nour and create the dress I've always wanted even though it did undergo a lot of testing to make sure it was comfortable and something I can dance in!
After we chose the pattern of the beading I took a sample to Hana Bekdash, who designed my headpiece and my Make up was done by Nada al Agha.
The experience of getting married during the pandemic is an interesting one, we had to change our wedding date very last minute, and although most people had to delay I had to make mine earlier!
It wasn't easy lots of surprises and last minute decisions.. but thankfully but everyone was super cooperative and we got to do a great wedding at last.
The wedding was held in Madaboun Venue and the set up was done by Eyad Jammal 😊
Thank you to the lovely couple for sharing some details from their big day with us, wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness.
