Change in plans but no change in heart, today were deep diving into Bride Nour Rousans wedding details and look, the pandemic has changed couples plans several times over, but love always wins at the end.
What was it like planning your wedding during a pandemic?
I honestly had a different vision for my wedding dress and set up. The pandemic made everything I wanted to achieve a little harder than I thought and I had to change a lot. The original plan was to have my wedding during the summer of 2020. I wanted a big wedding gown and an outdoor wedding.
However, it had to be postponed to January 2021. It was hard to go on a hunt for wedding dresses during this time and during winter; but I’m really thankful and happy with how everything turned out!
Tell us about your wedding look, what was the inspiration behind it?
I’ve decided to switch to a mermaid dress because I was inspired by Zauhair Murad’s mermaid gowns. I really wanted something elegant yet exaggerated and sparkly. Huge thanks to Nour Muhtaseb, she designed my dress way better than I ever imagined. She paid attention to every detail I mentioned and changed my whole impression on wedding mermaid dresses.
Tell us about the setup and how you tied it with your dress!
Since feathers are elegant, in-style and a perfect set up for winter weddings, I decided I wanted to include them in my dress and theme set up. My wedding planner was Lina Abu-Mousa from artfullyeventsandweddings. She did an amazing job in setting up the feathery theme that I wanted and I’m really thankful for her. Everything turned out better than I expected and most importantly, elegant.
